My name is Amanda Brown and I'm completing my MBA with a Sports Management concentration at Tiffin University. For my mentorship program, I will work at the Colonial Life Arena in Columbia, SC. I am currently the Director of Volleyball Operations at the University of South Carolina where I have recently completed my fourth season.
I graduated in 2008 from Georgetown College (Ky.) with my B.S. in Business Administration. During the spring semester of my senior year, I interned at the American Volleyball Coaches Association (headquartered in Lexington, Ky). and a few months after graduation, a full-time position came available in which I applied and interviewed for. I was offered the job and began my journey into collegiate athletics. I served as the Manager of Awards, Membership, & Event Support for nearly five years before moving to Columbia, SC for my current role at USC.
Wherever my career takes me, I main priority is to make a difference. I strive to be an energetic, passionate, employee who cares deeply about those around me, with intention to help them grow. I strive to work in event management on a college campus, working for a non-profit, or a conference commisioner.
